PAGE UPDATED May 27th
"B"
Litter: Recount & Rival have 3 females born on April
2nd.
This is a very special litter. It's the third time I have bred Recount
to Rival, because it has proven to be an outstanding
combination!
Prices will be higher for this litter.
I am practicing the "early neurological stimulation" exercises with
this litter designed to produce "high achievers". Here is a
link to learn more about this early handling: High Achievers. Puppies
will be evaluated and temperament tested when they are 7
weeks old (May 20th or so). For a description of the puppy
aptitude test (PAT) and how to interpret the scores click here.
Puppies who are qualifying for a "working" home will also be tested
with the PAWS test. See here for the details of this test: http://malinut.com/write/paws.shtml
At that time I will assign a specific price to each puppy based on my
estimate of their show and breeding potential and they will range from
$1000-1500. After evaluating and pricing them, I
will post pictures and descriptions of each one on this page and
contact each person who has reserved one. At that time, people will be
allowed to choose from the litter in the order in which I have received
their deposits. They will be 8 weeks old on May 27th and they can be picked up
then. I offer a 10% discount for picking up a puppy here
rather than having me ship them. When they are 9 weeks old on
June 4th, shipping will be available from Kansas City to most cities
for $230 (plus $30 for the shipping kennel).
In the beginning, half of their nest has a blanket and the other half has hay for a potty area. They sleep on the blanket and when they are about 2 1/2 weeks old, they will start leaving the blanket to go potty on the hay. As they get older, I will give them more space and they will go farther and farther to get to the potty area. By the time they go to their new homes, they will be going outside through the doggy door to go potty for at least 2 weeks, and not having accidents inside on the blanket at all. Many people report that their puppy was housetrained from the day they arrived.
Of course they are AKC registered. For an explanation of Full vs. Limited AKC registration, please re-read the Background page. They will be vaccinated, wormed, vet checked, crate trained, and well socialized before they leave here. They come with a health record, pedigree, pictures of parents, contract & guarantee. This is the "B" litter. Please click here for the instructions for naming your Regalwise puppy and name suggestions. Before contacting me, please read the contract & guarantee and read the background page for the procedure for adopting one of my pups. As you can see from the pedigree below, a majority of the ancestors have champion or performance titles, and all parents and grandparents are OFA hip certified. Pedigree and parent's pictures are at the bottom of this page. Click here to see what the initials before and after the dog's names mean.
In addition to the tattoo in the ear, I will also be microchipping every puppy before they leave here. Click here to read about how and why I do this. I'm using Eurochips made by Avid. The charge for this additional service will be $20 which you will pay in addition to the price of the puppy. You must also pay the $12 "lost and found" option on the AKC registration application to register the tattoo and microchip numbers with the Companion Animal Recovery System.

"Rival" was born in April of 2004. His hips are OFA "Good" and elbows are OFA "Normal". His PennHIP scores are .32/.39 at 3 years old (better than 70% of German Shepherds evaluated). He is about 26 inches and 80 lbs. He has a confident, outgoing temperament, has a pure white short coat, and excellent black pigment. He finished his UKC Championship in one weekend. He has an outstanding pedigree with two total outcrosses to unrelated dark shepherd bloodlines.

old.

"Recount" was born in Oct, 2000. Her litter was a repeat breeding and Judy Grumdahl (her co-breeder) wanted that theme for puppy names. And it was during the presidential election ballot recounting, so it seemed appropriate! She is 24 inches and 65 lbs at 3 years. Her hips are OFA GOOD, her PennHIP scores are a very good .31/.32 at 6 1/2 years old. Her personality is very confident and friendly, she loves to retrieve and would make an excellent flyball dog. She finished her UKC conformation Championship at 6 months old on her first weekend of shows. Here below she is pictured winning Winner's Bitch at the WGSDCA Nationals.
